MIXED CONDITIONALS
This type of mixed conditional refers to an unreal past condition and its probable result in the present. These sentences express a situation which is contrary to reality both in the past and in the present. In these mixed conditional sentences, the time is the past in the "if" clause and in the present in the main clause.
If I had studied I would have my driving license.
(but I didn't study and now I don't have my license)
These mixed conditional sentences can also refer to an unreal present situation and its probable (but unreal) past result.
If I was a good cook, I'd have invited them to lunch.
Present: I'm not a good cook
Past: I would probably not have invited them to lunch

- How often have you heard a friend or a colleague complain about the excessive salaries of professional sports players? But do they really earn too much? I don’t think they earn too much. I truly believe their salaries are fair.
- A very common topic that is being discussed nowadays is wether schools should teach subjects that some may consider useless later in life. A clear example is history, since it is quite difficult to learn and does not help us in day-to-day activities.
- It is often suggested that scientists and technology experts contribute more to society than artists. I agree with this view. Although it isn’t easy to measure someone’s value to society, I personally feel that scientists and technology experts have a more significant impact not only on our society’s economy, but also on essential services that improve our quality of life.
- Nowadays, many teenagers have got video consoles at home and they often like playing active video games. These are good for you for a number of reasons.
- Education is an essential component of a person's life, but not everyone can afford it. Therefore, the debate on whether college education should be free has been ongoing for quite some time. From my perspective, I believe that college education should be free for everyone.
- Capital punishment, or the death penalty, is a controversial issue that has sparked intense debates among people for decades. Some people believe that it is an effective way to deter crime, while others believe that it is inhumane and should be abolished. From my perspective, I believe that capital punishment should be abolished.
- To sum up, I believe top professional sports players have the salaries they deserve because their careers are short and because during those years, their personal lives are affected by their popularity.
- All in all, I think that it is extremely important to learn about one’s own country’s history. Anyone who gets the chance to do this should not waste it, since they are very fortunate to have this opportunity.
- In conclusion, I believe scientists and technology experts contribute significantly more to society than artists. They have more job opportunities and play a vital part in fields like healthcare, infrastructure, and innovation. While art and music hold great cultural value, the role of science and technology in providing essential services and improving lives makes them more valuable contributors to society overall.
- To sum up, I believe that video games are a fun and social way to keep fit. I think they are a good option when you can't play outside and they might encourage people to do more exercise.
- In conclusion, while there may be some challenges to making college education free, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Providing free college education would ensure that everyone has access to higher education and create a more skilled workforce, which would ultimately benefit society as a In conclusion, capital punishment should be abolished because it is not an effective deterrent to crime, there is always a risk of executing an innocent person, it is often used disproportionately against marginalized communities, and it is an inhumane practice that violates human rights. Instead, we should focus on implementing more effective and humane forms of punishment that promote justice and rehabilitationwhole.

HOW TO WRITE A NARRATIVE ESSAY
What's the "thesis"?
A thesis statement is the main idea of an essay. It consists of the topic of the essay and the writer's claim about the topic that will be proven throughout the essay. The thesis usually appears at the end of the introduction, often as the last sentence, and lets the reader know what to expect.
Your objective is to give the reader a dominant impression of an experience or some aspect of your personality. In writing your thesis statement, use descriptive language rather than vague words such as: interesting, unusual, important, and great.
In conversation, you often begin a story by saying, “The weirdest thing happened to me the other day” or “I saw something amazing last week at the zoo” “I had a frightening experience in the elevator at work once” or “Men are strange, ya know? Like, one time….”
